Azuma Shoichi is an incapable, naive salaryman whose life quickly spun out of control when his wife died of a congenital heart disease.
Shoichi could not afford her proper treatment and surgeries, so he believes she died because of it. His daughter suffers from the same condition, and he is terrified of the possibility of losing her to the same disease that killed her mother.
He has done anything and everything to make money since then.
He can easily discuss materialistic matters with a straight face. Prefers tea over coffee, but believes drinking tea is out of style.
